So i calculate a mix design using the CSA fuller method. We assume agg is Saturated surface dry and I use Specific Gravity of the materials to calculate a volume so it all adds up to 1m3. Rule of thumb is 100 kg cement per 10Mpa of strength needed. I increase it a bit if there is air entrainment. By your calculations here, you are say over 400kg of cement powder for a 20 Mpa mix? I have been designing mixes for a few years now and I have never used that much powder and strength is still achieved. A mix with 400 kg is a hot mix as well, usually that would be for a 40 Mpa and we would add fly ash to replace some of the powder to cool the hydration process. Am i missing something here?

What if Volume of concrete is let's say 576m³ and using Class AA (1:1.5:3), and I got the dry volume of 887.04 I tried to solve for the volume of Sand =1.5/5.5 × 887.04 = 241.92m³ How about the Volume of Cement and Aggregate, do I multiply the ratio to into 887.04? Cause my professor, he used 1.54 in finding sand volume then 1.57 for Aggregate and cement, I was confused. I hope to hear from you soon

Please don't ever use asbestos sheets as roofing material. All developed countries had banned its use due to its known effect of causing cancer, at least 50 years ago. No amount of exposure to asbestos fibres is safe. There are alternative materials. It's a shame the govt has done nothing to address this public health hazard.
